Walt Disney World® Resort

Orlando, Florida. Four theme parks, two water parks, 25+ resort hotels, Disney Springs, and enough dining and entertainment to fill a week without repeating yourself. This is the trip I plan most, and the one my own family takes.

Highlights beyond the parks

  • Resort hotels for every style

Value, Moderate, and Deluxe resorts, plus monorail, Skyliner, and boat access that changes how your whole trip feels. Staying on property includes early park entry for resort guests.

  • Character dining

Meals where Mickey, the princesses, and friends come to your table. Some of the most popular reservations at Disney World, and worth planning around.

  • Disney Springs & the water parks

Shopping, restaurants, and live entertainment at Disney Springs, plus Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach for a non-park day.

  • Seasonal extras

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and EPCOT's festivals through the year, I check what's on for your dates.

Who it suits best

  • Great for: first Disney trips, toddlers through teens, grandparents traveling with grandkids, and families celebrating something big.
  • Think twice if: you only have 1–2 days, you'll see a fraction of it. For a shorter window, Disneyland or a cruise often fits better.

What Joseph helps with

  • Matching a resort to your budget, party size, and how you actually travel
  • Tickets, park days, and Lightning Lane strategy sequenced park by park
  • Dining and experience reservations, tracked against every deadline
  • Watching for new discounts that can be applied after you book

Family tips from Joseph

  • Build in a rest day. A resort / pool day in the middle of the trip saves the second half of it.
  • Start early, break midday. Florida heat and afternoon lines are real, especially with little kids.
  • Don't try to do everything. Four parks in four days with no downtime is the most common planning mistake I see.

How I’d plan it

I plan Walt Disney World days around the one or two things your family would be sad to miss. Not a minute by minute schedule. If those one or two things happen, the day worked, and everything else is a bonus.

With little kids, that usually means Magic Kingdom gets two days and one park gets skipped entirely. Trying to hit all four parks on a short trip turns the vacation into a checklist, and nobody comes home talking about a checklist.

I also build the midday break in from the start. Back to the resort, pool, nap, reset. The evening goes better when nobody hit empty at 2 PM.
